Hotel Ravie Kawaryo

I really enjoyed the spectacular breakfast buffet which I had on both days. The walk by the ocean was wonderful. The room was very big, much too big for one person. The onsen was beautiful, with indoor and outdoor areas, and a cold plunge area. The building was kept up well, and seemed like it was from the 80s. Nice modern and at the same time old-fashioned. The rooms were spare, but had nice woodwork, and comfortable futons and tatami sitting area, as well as a western sitting area. The room was very quiet, but also probably was at half-occupancy. If I go back I will certainly enjoy that breakfast again (traditional plus western ), and spend more time in the onsen. I had a wee bit of trouble making my way around the town, because of my very limited Japanese. I visited right after the restrictions were dropped, in late December 2022, and had to figure out how to communicate. I walked all over the town, and a lot of things were closed because of the holiday. There were some really nice renewal projects: the sea walls, the clear water at the seaside, and there were fantastic pathways connecting through the townalongside the rivers. These were totally worth following along.

Nice location, very good breakfast with lots of choices. The onsen is quite nice with sauna, jacuzzi which seldom found in other onsen hotel. The hotel staff is extremely nice and provide above average hospitality and services. Very happy to give this hotel a recommendation.

Staff is extremely helpful and patient, answered all my questions and even walked me to the nearest pharmacy

Room was very large for one, quite old but clean. Staffs are friendly and willing to help
